The ideal candidate will have 23 years of experience in the Logistics/Freight Forwarding industry, with a strong understanding of freight services, customer acquisition, business development, and client relationship management. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business, developing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and expanding the company's customer base. Key Responsibilities Identify and generate new business opportunities through market research, cold calling, referrals, networking, and other lead-generation activities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Understand customer requirements and provide suitable freight forwarding and logistics solutions. Prepare and share quotations, negotiate rates, and follow up with customers to convert opportunities into business. Coordinate with internal teams including Operations, Pricing, Documentation, and Customer Service to ensure smooth execution of shipments. Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects and existing customers to drive repeat business. Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and freight rates to identify new business opportunities. Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, quotations, and sales activities in CRM/MIS. Handle customer queries and resolve commercial issues promptly while maintaining high service standards. Work towards increasing customer retention, revenue, and profitability. Attend client meetings, industry events, and business development activities as required. Ensure timely collection of receivables in coordination with the concerned teams.Required Skills & Qualifications 23 years of relevant sales experience in Logistics / Freight Forwarding / Shipping. Good knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Import/Export, Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and related logistics services. Proven ability to generate leads and convert prospects into customers. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Customer-oriented approach with strong relationship-building abilities. Target-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM tools is an advantage. Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
