Purchase & Store Manager

Position: Purchase & Store Manager Industry: Civil & Construction Location: South Tamil Nadu Experience: 1015 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Purchase & Store Manager with strong experience in the Civil & Construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing material procurement, vendor coordination, inventory, stores operations, material planning, and ensuring timely availability of construction materials at project sites. Key Responsibilities Purchase Management Plan and manage procurement of civil and construction materials.Source materials such as cement, steel, M-sand, aggregates, blocks, pipes, electrical and plumbing materials, hardware, etc.Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors.Obtain quotations, compare prices, and ensure competitive purchasing.Prepare Purchase Orders and follow up for timely delivery.Maintain good relationships with suppliers and contractors.Monitor material prices and market trends.Store Management Manage overall store operations at project/site locations.Ensure proper receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of materials.Maintain accurate stock records and inventory reports.Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory.Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.Ensure proper material identification, storage, and safety.Control material wastage, damage, and unauthorized usage.Construction Material Coordination Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Accounts, and Management for material requirements.Ensure materials are available as per project schedules.Verify material requirements against approved specifications and BOQ.Track pending purchase orders and material deliveries.Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward materials.Required Qualification Graduate / Diploma in any relevant discipline.Additional qualification in Purchase, Materials Management, or Stores Management will be an advantage.Required Experience 1015 years of relevant experience.Civil & Construction industry experience is mandatory.Experience in handling purchase and stores for large construction projects is preferred.Language Skills Candidate should be able to communicate effectively in: Tamil MandatoryKannada PreferredHindi PreferredPreferred Candidate Profile Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and suppliers.Ability to work at project/site locations in South Tamil Nadu.Strong coordination and communication skills.Interested candidates may share their updated CV with relevant Purchase & Stores experience.career@ramalingam.inFood and accomadation company will Provided, Compensation: 30,500.45 - 65,567.92 per month Benefits: Food providedProvident FundWork Location: In person .
