PROCUREMENT & STORES EXECUTIVE

Location: Navi Mumbai Experience: 2-5 years Department: Purchase & Stores Industry: Sports Infrastructure / Construction / Flooring About the Role We are looking for a Purchase & Stores Executive who understands purchasing and is comfortable dealing with suppliers, checking materials and working in the market. The person should have a basic understanding of measurements, quantities, material requirements and pricing and should be ready to coordinate with suppliers and project sites. Key Responsibilities Purchase materials as per project and factory requirementsTake quotations from different suppliers and compare pricesNegotiate with suppliers for better prices and payment termsFollow up with suppliers for timely deliveryMaintain purchase orders and supplier recordsCheck and maintain stock at the factory and project sitesArrange dispatch of materials to sitesCoordinate with transporters for deliveriesKeep proper records of materials received and dispatchedCoordinate with Accounts, Sales and Project teamsTrack leftover materials from sites and arrange return or reuseMake sure materials are available when requiredThese responsibilities are based on the company's Procurement & Stores SOP. What We Are Looking For 2-5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement / StoresGood understanding of materials, measurements and quantitiesGood knowledge of local suppliers and marketsGood negotiation and communication skillsShould be comfortable visiting suppliers and markets when requiredShould be able to understand material requirements and purchase accordinglyGood knowledge of Excel and computer workShould be organised and good at follow-ups Preferred Candidates from the same or similar industry will be preferred. Experience in flooring, construction, interiors, building materials, sports infrastructure or related industries will be an advantage. Someone who already understands materials, measurements, purchasing and the market will be preferred. Someone who can understand what is required, find the right supplier, negotiate the right price and make sure the material reaches where it is needed on time.
