Key Responsibilities A. Tax Advisory & Business Support Provide advisory on: Taxability, classification and exemptions Cross-border transactions (export/imports) Other scenarios under GST and allied legislation Structuring large infrastructure projects considering: GST efficiency Cash flow impact Contract tax clauses B. Litigation & Representation Manage departmental audits, investigations, and disputes Handle proceedings under adjudication and appeals both under GST and legacy indirect tax laws Draft replies, submissions, and represent before GST and legacy tax Authorities and Appellate forums Liaise with external tax consultants and legal counsels C. Process Controls & Audit Readiness Strengthen internal controls aligned with Internal & Statutory Audit requirements Support GST audits /CAG / departmental reviews Maintain documentation for tax positions and audit trails D. Financial Reporting & Ind AS Impact Ensure proper accounting of: Contingent liabilities Provide inputs for: Financial statements Audit Committee presentations E. Strategic Initiatives Lead tax transformation and policy advocacy Identify opportunities for: Cost optimization Working capital improvement Engage with industry bodies (CII, FICCI) on policy representation F. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of tax specialists Build capability across project sites and business units Drive cross-functional coordination (Finance, Legal, Procurement, Projects) - Educational Qualification Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA)/ Company Secretary (CS) / LLB .
