Infrastructure & Systems Management Install, configure, monitor, and maintain hospital IT systems including servers, networks, and storage. Manage hospital information systems (HIS), electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), PACS, and other clinical applications. Ensure high availability of critical systems used for patient care. Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades. Network & Security Maintain secure hospital network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN). Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect patient data. Manage firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Ensure compliance with healthcare data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA, local health data laws). User Support & Helpdesk Provide technical support to doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and other hospital personnel. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in clinical and non-clinical areas. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Data Backup & Disaster Recovery Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Conduct periodic testing of backup and recovery procedures. Hardware & Asset Management Manage procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT hardware (PCs, printers, scanners, medical system interfaces). Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and licenses. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support and repairs. Compliance & Documentation Maintain IT policies, procedures, and system documentation. Support audits related to IT systems and data security. Ensure adherence to hospital IT standards and regulatory requirements. Technical Skills Windows/Linux server administration Active Directory and user management Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs) Database basics (SQL) Backup and recovery solutions Cybersecurity best practices Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 hospital environment Good communication and interpersonal skills High level of integrity and confidentiality Preferred Certifications CompTIA Network+ / Security+ Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE) Cisco (CCNA) ITIL Healthcare IT certifications (preferred) .
