Job Summary To be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable cloud-native applications and database solutions on AWS. The role requires strong hands-on experience across cloud engineering, application development, database administration, DevOps automation, security controls, and production support, while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and customer delivery expectations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications, microservices, APIs, and serverless components using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, EC2, S3, and related platform capabilities. Architect, manage, and optimize relational and NoSQL database platforms including Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, and MongoDB, with focus on performance, availability, scalability, and data integrity. Lead and support data migration activities from on-premises environments to AWS, ensuring minimum disruption, appropriate rollback planning, and adherence to agreed change management processes. Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent DevOps tools to improve release reliability and delivery efficiency. Monitor application, infrastructure, and database performance using CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, OpenSearch, and other observability tools; identify issues and drive timely remediation. Implement cloud security controls using IAM, KMS, WAF, Secrets Manager, VPC security patterns, encryption, logging, and access governance aligned with enterprise compliance requirements. Participate in technical design reviews, feasibility assessments, estimation, solution discussions, and risk identification across assigned modules or projects. Prepare and share status reports, technical documentation, RCA inputs, and operational updates to minimize delivery risk and support governance reporting. Mentor junior team members, promote engineering best practices, improve technical capability, and support productivity improvement across the team. Skill Requirements Programming Languages: Strong hands-on experience in Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or equivalent enterprise development languages. AWS Services: Practical experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, API Gateway, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and related AWS services. Database Engineering: Strong understanding of schema design, indexing, query tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, replication, and performance optimization. DevOps and Automation: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation. Security and Compliance: Knowledge of IAM policies, encryption, secrets management, network security, vulnerability remediation, audit logging, and secure cloud design principles. Operational Support: Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, change implementation, release support, and production readiness activities. Ways of Working: Ability to work in Agile delivery models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders. Qualification and Experience Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. 5-10 years of relevant experience across cloud engineering, application development, database development, DevOps, or infrastructure operations. AWS certification such as AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is preferred. Experience working in enterprise environments with exposure to ITIL, change management, incident management, and compliance-driven delivery processes will be an advantage. Other Requirements Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned deliverables. Good communication skills with the ability to interact with internal teams, customers, vendors, and senior stakeholders. Commitment to quality, process compliance, documentation discipline, and continuous improvement.
