At Eaton India Innovation Center, we are looking for an Engineering Leader - Aerospace Interconnect Technologies Division (ITD) + Mission Systems Division (MSD). Job Summary: The Aerospace Interconnect Technologies Division (ITD) + Mission Systems Division (MSD) Leader is responsible for leading the Aerospace ITD & MSD engineering organization within Eaton India Innovation Center, Pune. This role drives engineering excellence, technology leadership, innovation, product development, and organizational capability development across aerospace technologies. The position partners closely with global Aerospace Engineering, Technology, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Product Line teams to execute growth strategies, accelerate innovation, and deliver superior customer outcomes. + Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization. + Set technical vision and strategic direction aligned with Aerospace business objectives. + Build engineering capability and technical depth across ITD Products & Technologies, MSD Products & technologies domains. + Drive a Think Big, Act Boldly & Win Together culture towards Technology & Product Innovation & Sustainance Engineering. Job Responsibilities: Product Development & Program Execution: + Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), New Technology Introduction (NTI), and Sustaining Engineering activities. + Ensure successful planning and execution of engineering deliverables across the product lifecycle. + Drive product accountability, design quality, and engineering productivity. + Partner with global teams to support customer programs, platform growth, and business expansion initiatives. Technology & Innovation: + Develop and execute technology roadmaps to strengthen competitive positioning. + Identify and mature breakthrough technologies in electrification, digitalization, automation, controls, and aerospace systems. + Champion engineering innovation and support strategic technology investments. Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation: + Drive Lean, Continuous Improvement (CI), DFSS, and operational excellence initiatives. + Accelerate adoption of AI, automation, digital engineering tools, workflow digitization, and data-driven decision making. + Improve engineering efficiency, quality, schedule adherence, and cost competitiveness. Global Collaboration & Customer Focus: + Collaborate with Aerospace business units, product teams, manufacturing sites, and customers globally. + Support product strategy, cost-out initiatives, supplier resiliency, and manufacturing transitions. + Strengthen customer relationships through technical engagement and solution development. People Leadership: + Build a robust talent pipeline and succession strategy. + Coach and mentor managers, technical leaders, and engineers. + Drive diversity, employee engagement, capability development, and leadership readiness. + Develop future technical and organizational leaders through structured development programs. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred. + 18+ years of engineering experience within Aerospace, Industrial, Automotive, Fluid Power, Motion Control, or related industries. + Proven experience leading global engineering teams and complex product portfolios. + Strong background in product development, engineering operations, and technology management. + Experience managing NPI, NTI, and sustaining engineering programs. Technical knowledge: + Demonstrated experience in leading technology, product development and innovation in similar engineering organizations. + Demonstrated experience with multinational engineering organization. + Solid knowledge of Aerospace Hydraulic Power Generation & Distribution, Actuation systems and products + Ability to translate customer and market requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with design and systems engineering teams + Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of aerospace standards and certification processes (e.g., FAA, EASA, DO-178C, DO-254, AS9100, MIL-STD). + Technology Integration: Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into existing or new product lines + PLM Expertise: Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., PTC, Enovia) for managing product data, configurations, and change control. + Developing multi generation technology and product development plans + Lifecycle Ownership: Experience managing products from concept through development, production, sustainment, and end-of-life + Obsolescence Planning: Knowledge of legacy product support strategies and lifecycle extension techniques + Configuration Management: Understanding of aerospace configuration control and traceability requirements. + Business Case Development: Ability to build financial models and ROI analyses for new product initiatives and .
