Our engineering, robotics, and office operations rely on a reliable IT and systems backbone, and we are looking to strengthen this function as the team grows. ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a dependable IT Support Engineer to manage and maintain our internal IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user support. You will be responsible for keeping workstations, networks, and lab/office IT systems running smoothly, supporting both office staff and engineering teams working with robotics hardware and software. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide first-level and second-level IT support to employees across office and lab/engineering environmentsSet up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and workstations (Windows/Linux) for staff and engineering useManage and troubleshoot local network infrastructure: routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivityAdminister user accounts, access permissions, and basic cybersecurity hygiene (antivirus, backups, patching)Support setup and maintenance of IT systems used alongside robotics test rigs and lab equipmentMaintain inventory of IT hardware/software assets and manage vendor coordination for procurement and repairsTroubleshoot software, hardware, printer, and peripheral issues in a timely mannerAssist with basic server/cloud account management (email, file storage, backups) and documentation of IT proceduresREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 2-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar helpdesk/infrastructure roleHands-on experience with Windows and basic Linux system administrationWorking knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/Wi-Fi setup, IP addressing, troubleshooting connectivity issues)Experience with hardware troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of desktops/laptops/peripheralsFamiliarity with user account management, basic cybersecurity practices, and data backup proceduresGood communication skills and a service-oriented approach to supporting internal teamsAbility to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectivelyPREFERRED / GOOD TO HAVE Experience supporting IT needs in an engineering, manufacturing, or lab environmentFamiliarity with cloud tools (Google Workspace/Microsoft 365) administrationBasic scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell) for automation of routine IT tasksExposure to supporting specialized hardware/software used in robotics or CAD/engineering workflowsEDUCATION Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
