Senior AI / ML Engineer Fashion Intelligence Location: Gurugram / Remote (India) Experience: 5 to 10 years About the Role For one of our well established fashion export house, we are building a Fashion AI Studio, a design intelligence platform that empowers fashion brands and buying houses to make data-driven creative decisionsreducing waste, improving margins, and accelerating time-to-market. We have the architecture, the proprietary data, and the vision. We need a senior AI professional who can translate fashion industry challenges into scalable AI solutions and help us build a business around them. You will contribute to shape the product and plan the technical strategy. Role & Responsibility: Solution Design: Work with fashion brands and buying houses to identify high-value problems that AI can solvetrend forecasting, demand prediction, design personalization, supply chain optimization. | Technical Leadership: Architect and build AI pipelines that are scalable, secure, and production-ready. Own the end-to-end lifecycle from data ingestion to model deployment. Business Development: Partner with the founder to pitch the solution to prospective clients. Help define the product roadmap based on real market feedback. | Team Building: Mentor junior engineers and data scientists. Help define the technical culture and hiring standards as we scale. Competency: AI/ML Engineering: 48 years of experience building and deploying machine learning models in production. Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.). Fashion Domain Knowledge: You have worked in or with the fashion industryat a fashion brand, retailer, marketplace, or fashion-tech company. You understand design, sourcing, merchandising, and the commercial realities of the industry. Strategic Thinking: You can identify business problems and translate them into technical solutions. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can shape a product vision from scratch. Client-Facing Ability: You can explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholdersclients, investors, and internal teamswith clarity and confidence. Modern AI Stack: Hands-on experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and orchestration frameworks. Experience with computer vision (CLIP, ResNet) is a strong plus.
