We're an early-stage startup building software products that real businesses depend on to run their day. Every bug is a business that can't operate. Every good decision you make now gets built into the foundation as we scale. We're hiring 10 interns for our next builder cohort. This isn't busywork or a toy side project. You'll own real features end to end, ship to production, and see your code used by real clients within days. Who we're looking for: Someone genuinely obsessed with building. The kind of person who reads the actual code instead of guessing. Who cares whether a thing truly works not just whether the test passed. Who takes an unfinished problem personally. You'll work directly with senior engineers, move fast, and be trusted with real responsibility from week one. If you want small, safe tasks and to be left alone this isn't it. If you want to grow faster than you thought possible and do the best engineering work of your life so far keep reading. What you'll do: Build and maintain backend APIs and services Ship responsive, user-facing interfaces in React Native + TypeScript Work with PostgreSQL and write clean, tested code Debug real issues using logs and live data, not assumptions Collaborate across a microservice architecture What we need: Strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL Node.js, Prisma (or similar ORMs), PostgreSQL React Native, REST APIs, Git Curiosity, ownership, and a real bias toward getting things done Bonus: real-time UIs, state management at scale, or AI/LLM experience. How we hire no puzzles, no whiteboards: We don't do LeetCode rounds. We do what we actually do at work: build. 1 Apply send your resume + GitHub (or a project you're proud of) 2 Build shortlisted candidates get a small real-world project brief to build on your own time 3 Present walk us through what you built, the decisions you made, and why 4 Offer build well, present well, you're in The project is how we evaluate everything: your code, your thinking, your ownership. If you're the kind of person who'd rather show than tell this process was made for you. Details: Chennai (on-site) | Full-time internship | Duration: 4 months | Start: Immediate Openings: 10 Stipend: 7,000/month Lunch provided free, every day Full-time offer on successful completion of the 4-month internship To apply: https://zfrmz.in/9rwsKIsJKgMadIjWbxIU Tag someone who should see this. #Hiring #SoftwareEngineering #Internship #Chennai #ReactNative #NodeJS #TypeScript #FullStack .

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
