Contract | Remote | 1,5003,000/hour We're hiring experienced insurance professionals to teach AI systems how insurance work actually gets done. Huzzle builds the training and evaluation environments that frontier AI labs use to make their models useful at real professional work. We're a 40-person team across San Francisco, Palo Alto and Berlin, with an expert network of 300,000+ professionals. The frontier labs can build a model that passes an insurance exam. None of them can build one that handles a claim end to end, underwrites a commercial submission, or produces a reserve estimate because nobody has shown a model what that looks like. That's the gap you'd be closing. What you'll do You'll turn workflows you've run hundreds of times into structured tasks an AI agent has to complete inside a realistic environment, then solve them yourself to the standard you'd expect from a good professional in your discipline.Define scenarios with our researchers and engineers: the facts, the policy or submission, the documents, the system stateWork the task yourself in our environment while we record it, explaining your reasoning at each decision pointReview where the AI failed and tell us whether it broke on process, judgement or documentation Example tasks Claims: "An insured reports water damage to a finished basement. Review the FNOL, pull the policy and confirm coverage for the loss cause. Determine whether the anti-concurrent-causation clause applies. Set an initial indemnity and expense reserve and document your basis. Order the estimate, identify the two line items that need adjustment, and note whether the plumbing failure supports a subrogation referral against the contractor."Underwriting: "A broker submits a $4M general liability risk for a mid-sized food manufacturer. Classify the exposure, check it against appetite, price the primary layer and set the deductible. Identify the two exclusions you'd require and the referral trigger that takes this above your authority." Who we're looking for 4+ years in a professional insurance role with genuine decision authority not intake, data entry or first-tier triage.One or more of: P&C claims handling to resolution property, auto, liability, or large lossCoverage analysis and reservation-of-rights workCommercial or specialty underwriting, appetite and pricingActuarial pricing, reserving or rate filing workReinsurance treaty analysis, experience or exposure ratingBroking and submission preparation, retail or wholesaleSubrogation, or SIU / fraud investigationInsurance regulatory and financial reporting IFRS 17, Solvency II, NAIC statutory, IRDAI returnsHealth plan claims adjudication, prior authorisation, denials and appeals Credentials that help but aren't mandatory: adjuster licence(s), AIC, CPCU, AINS, SCLA, ACII, Cert CILA, IRDAI surveyor and loss assessor licence, or IAI / IFoA / CAS actuarial exams. Tools we're particularly interested in: Guidewire (ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter), Duck Creek, Sapiens, Xactimate, Symbility, ISO ClaimSearch, Mitchell, CCC, Applied Epic, EZLynx, WTW ResQ, Milliman Arius, Akur8, or any carrier-proprietary platform.
