Key Responsibilities Damage Assessment: Examine damaged vehicles, review repair estimates, and check parts requirements. Structural Repair: Straighten bent frames and align chassis using pneumatic or hydraulic straightening machines. Body Panel Work: Remove, repair, or replace damaged fenders, panels, grilles, and doors using wrenches, cutting torches, and welding equipment. Denting and Finishing: Beat out dents using hammers and dolly blocks, apply body filler, and sand or grind repaired surfaces for a smooth finish. Paint Preparation: Mask, prime, and prep vehicle surfaces for the paint shop, or spot-paint repaired areas as required. Safety & Compliance: Follow workshop safety guidelines, wear protective gear (respirators, safety glasses), and properly handle hazardous materials like paints and thinners.
