Job Description About the Role: This role is within Synpulses Centre of Excellence and is part of a new Reinsurance Operations Team supporting a UK-based specialist (Re) Insurance client company. This role involves assisting with analysis, reporting, and controls to ensure effective management of reinsurance activities. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills in reinsurance accounting. Job Requirements Required Skills: This role is ideal for candidates who are early in their career and motivated to grow: 23 years of experiencein insurance/reinsurance or a similar finance roleBachelorsdegree in finance,accounting,economics or related fieldBasic understanding ofceded reinsurance processes(preferred, not essential)Strong English skills (C1+) Your strengths Curious and eager to learn about reinsurance and financial processesDetail-oriented with strong organisational skillsComfortable working with data and developing analytical thinkingand technical skills, adapting to current technologiesGood communicator, able to collaborate with different stakeholdersand build relationship with clients, partners, internal teamsProactive mindset and willingness to take initiative with support Nice to have Exposure to theLondon MarketInterest in or progress towardACII or similar qualification Job Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: With guidance and support, you will gradually take ownership of key operational processes: Support the administration of ceded reinsurance programs across:FacultativeProportional treatiesExcess of Loss contractsAssist in managing thecredit control process, including:Monitoring outstanding premium and claims balancesCommunicating with brokers and stakeholdersSupporting reporting on aged debtParticipate in recurring forums such as theCredit Control CommitteeHelp maintain reinsurance data and systems:Enter contract data (Facultative and XL) into systemsProcess and allocate transactions through theLORS platform(Lloyds Outward Reinsurance Scheme)Investigate and resolve unmatched or outstanding itemsPrepare statements of behalf of Ceded Ri for recurring Committee meetingsContribute to accounting and reporting activities:Support quarterly and annual processes for proportional treatiesPrepare data and materials for internal committeesAssist with issuing payment instructions and reconciliationsCollaborate across teams:Respond to reinsurer queriesWork with Claims, Finance, and Operations teamsWork with internal controls and audit functions as requiredEnsure claim movements are correctly cededSupport continuous improvement:Help improve data accuracy and controlsContribute ideas to enhance efficiency and processesAssist with maintaining procedures and user documentation Job Benefits Insurance Career Development Flexible Work hours Learning Opportunities Inclusive and collaborative work culture .
