Remote Operational Excellence Manager, CIP & Process Optimization

The Operations Excellence Manager, CIP & Process Optimization is responsible for identifying and improving logistics and operational processes to enhance efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/ workshops to drive cultural changeConduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/ business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentationCarrying out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, develop budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibilityDesign, Install and capital equipment as it relates to process improvementDrive value stream mapping to define 'As-Is Analysis' and the transition to Future StateDevelop and conduct compliance assessments, program evaluations and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanentSkillsBachelor's degree from an accredited UniversityFive years' related management experienceExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving and analytical skillsTraining in Lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen facilitationStrong leadership skills, experience working in a unionized environment, ability to learn and apply new concepts and overcome obstacles with changePrevious exposure to a low volume high SKU environmentAbility to work with and influence others in a fast-paced environment, ability to work shifts as requiredProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and VizioAptitude for AutoCAD and Microsoft AccessKnowledge of WMS functionalityGood mathematical skillsEnglish (reading, writing, verbal), Spanish a plusInterpersonal communication and language skills (e.g., listening to others, speaking to others, reading, writing)Communication (facilitation skills and very mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels in the organization)Public PresentationDeliver trainings and WorkshopsSix Sigma / Lean CertificationsE-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutionsExperience in warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, conveyor design, etc.)Company OverviewAt DSV, we keep supply chains flowing in a world of change.
