The Client Accountant will manage full-cycle accounting operations for non-profit clients, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, donor reporting requirements, and federal/state regulations. This role demands expertise in end-to-end accounting, financial stewardship, and client advisory support tailored to mission-driven organizations. Key Responsibilities - End-to-End Accounting: Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close for non-profit clients. Grant & Fund Accounting: Track restricted/unrestricted funds, prepare donor-specific reports, and ensure compliance with grant agreements.Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, board reports, and audit schedules in line with US GAAP and FASB standards.Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to IRS Form 990 requirements, state filings, and internal control frameworks.Client Advisory: Partner with non-profit leadership to provide insights on budgeting, cash flow, and financial sustainability.Process Optimization: Implement automation tools and best practices to streamline accounting workflows. Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the non-profit sector.Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fund accounting, and donor compliance.Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).Excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills. .
