Role Description The Chartered Accountancy Articleship Trainee will support the firms tax, audit, and advisory engagements under the supervision of experienced professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting in GST and income tax return preparation, working on audit fieldwork and documentation, supporting ROC/MCA filings and other company law compliances, and helping prepare working papers, reports, and MIS summaries. The trainee will also assist in research on accounting, tax, and regulatory matters, help with client communication and data collection, and contribute to valuation and advisory assignments as required. This is an internship role designed to fulfill ICAI articleship requirements and provide practical exposure across multiple service lines. The position is on-site and based at the firms Kolkata office. Qualifications Currently registered as a CA student with ICAI and eligible for articleship; strong academic grounding in accounting, auditing, and taxation.Knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and working familiarity with GST and income tax provisions.Comfort with MS Excel, Word, and common accounting or tax compliance software; ability to work with large datasets and documentation.Good analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured processes and deadlines.Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi/Bengali; professional, client-focused attitude.Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, collaborate in a team, and manage multiple assignments under guidance.Willingness to learn across domains such as audit, taxation, company law, and advisory; openness to training and feedback. .
