Job Description: Own category-related targets, strategy, and program development for the global spend and supply base Leverage pooling opportunities and synergies across Hillenbrand operating companies and sites Model the optimum supply base based on market trends, demand requirements, and business objectives Define supply base preferences, sourcing governance, supplier targets, and sourcing footprint design Create category intelligence covering market trends, technologies, benchmarks, cost drivers, and value drivers Assess supply base capabilities and performance against benchmarks and requirements Classify suppliers and define supplier development targets Define the category playbook for Project GSM and Supplier Account Managers Plan and align financial, operational, and business targets; define funnel measures and execution plans Develop alternative sourcing projects and business cases to optimize the supply base and increase shiftability Lead sourcing project execution using Advanced Negotiation Concepts Review and approve supplier-related targets and funnel measures Define and drive elevated Key Supplier objectives and support critical supplier meetings Initiate and plan cost mastering and supplier development project funnels Manage master purchase agreements and amendments covering logistics, quality, and sustainability Monitor and drive execution of category-related funnel measures to achieve defined targets Apply financially and ethically sound methods aligned with the Hillenbrand Operating ModelRequirements: More than 10 years experience in Strategic Procurement Several years experience in global sourcing across European, Asian, and North American markets Several years successful experience in global Project and Program Management Experience leading interdisciplinary cross-functional teams Global sourcing experience and advanced intercultural sensitivity and teamwork Advanced negotiation skills Solid understanding of game-theoretical awarding events and e-auctions Advanced analytical and conceptual skills Ability to drive results and use relevant IT tools, such as PowerBI Advanced knowledge of Source-2-Contract processes and Supplier Contract Management Commodity market expertise Total Cost of Ownership business case calculation, including make-versus-buy Clean-sheet/should-costing methodology GSM processes and governance Supply base risk management Project management skills Proficient Business English Understanding and implementation of Hillenbrand Core Values and Operating Model (HOM) Minimum bachelor degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent Separate expert-level certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, Design to Cost, and Project Management methodologies desiredBenefits: Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy Reasonable accommodation support for applicants with disabilities .
