The role is responsible for supporting the cataloguing, preservation, and exhibition of a private archival collection of Indian film memorabilia. The role involves managing collection records, assisting with preventive conservation, coordinating exhibition activities, and providing research and administrative support to ensure the effective management and presentation of the collection. Key Responsibilities Catalogue, document, and maintain accurate records of archival materials, including photographs, film posters, lobby cards, magazines, and other memorabilia.Develop and maintain an efficient filing, inventory, and retrieval system for the collection.Assist in the preservation and preventive conservation of paper-based and photographic archival materials.Coordinate with conservators and other stakeholders for the care and management of collection items.Support the planning, preparation, installation, and documentation of exhibitions.Assist in handling, mounting, labelling, and transporting exhibition objects.Provide research and administrative support related to the collection and exhibitions.Maintain correspondence, reports, budgets, and other project documentation. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Museum Studies, Library & Information Science, History, Film Studies, or a related discipline.Minimum 23 years of relevant experience in collections management, curatorial support, or archival administration within a museum, gallery, library, or archival institution.Demonstrable experience in handling, cataloguing, and preserving paper-based or photographic archival materials.Proficiency in collection management software and Microsoft Excel.Sound understanding of archival cataloguing standards and preventive conservation practices.Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.Knowledge of Indian cinema history, exhibition planning, or archival digitization workflows will be an added advantage.
