Finance Manager II We are looking to hire a Finance Manager II to join our high-performance team in India. This role will be part of the internal Global Tax function and will support a broad range of U.S. federal, state, and international tax matters. The role focuses on tax accounting, tax compliance, tax research, audits, transfer pricingrelated accounting, legal entity transactions, restructuring support, and strategic tax planning for Kroll and its subsidiaries across the globe. The individual will work closely with internal finance, controllership, treasury, legal, and external service providers to ensure timely, accurate, and auditready tax reporting and compliance. The role will also support preparation and review of tax returns, required disclosures, tax provisions, account reconciliations, and related work papers. The work location would be our corporate office in Mumbai and the shift time would be 2pm 11pm IST and in hybrid mode of work pattern. Responsibilities: Tax Accounting and Provision Support Assist with the timely and accurate completion of worldwide income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Prepare, review, and maintain U.S. GAAP account reconciliations for tax accounts, including current tax payable, deferred taxes, FIN 48 / uncertain tax positions, and related P&L accounts. Support tax close activities, including analysis of tax journal entries, tax balance sheet accounts, and provisiontoreturn adjustments. Maintain strong documentation and audit trail support for tax accounting positions, reconciliations, and provision calculations. Transfer Pricing and Intercompany Accounting Prepare and review reconciliations for transfer pricingrelated accounts, including U.S., U.K., and India intercompany HQ allocation receivables/payables and related P&L accounts. Support accounting for intercompany loans, accrued interest, receivables/payables, and related tax impacts. Coordinate with treasury, controllership, and transfer pricing stakeholders to ensure appropriate tracking and documentation of intercompany balances. Tax Compliance and External Provider Coordination Assist in preparing and reviewing federal, state, and international tax returns and related disclosures in coordination with external service providers. Coordinate tax return and provision checklists, ensure timely information gathering, and monitor completion of assigned deliverables. Review tax workpapers for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with internal documentation standards. Support responses to information requests from external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities Estimated Tax and Cash Tax Process Manage the endtoend estimated tax process, including forecasting, payment coordination, accounting entries, and supporting documentation. Assist in tracking cash tax payments, tax liabilities, and related balance sheet accounts. Tax Research, Planning, and Transactions Support tax research and prepare technical tax memoranda on federal, state, and international tax matters. Assist with tax analysis related to legal entity acquisitions, restructurings, reorganizations, and other strategic transactions. Support management in evaluating tax implications of business initiatives and changes in tax law. Process, Controls, and Technology Manage the electronic tax workpaper process and ensure workpapers are stored appropriately.Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, templates, reconciliations, and controls.Support use of tax technology and finance systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting visibility. Budget and Administrative Support Assist with managing the tax department budget and tracking actual spend against budget in the required format, as requested by the Global Head of Tax.Coordinate with external advisors and internal teams to support billing, accruals, and budget reporting. Requirements: Chartered Accountant qualification required. 7 to 8 years of relevant experience in tax, including exposure to international taxation. Experience working in a shared service center, global capability center, multinational corporate tax team, or professional services environment supporting group tax functions, including advisory and compliance assignments. Strong understanding of accrual basis accounting and U.S. GAAP concepts. Working knowledge of tax account reconciliations, including current tax, deferred tax, uncertain tax positions, transfer pricing, investment accounts, and intercompany accounts. Experience supporting income tax provisions (ASC 740) and tax compliance processes. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with ability to analyze data and present findings clearly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain highquality, auditready documentation.
