Job Description Vendor Manager Position: Vendor Manager Department: Procurement / Production & Operations Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand Work Mode: On-site Experience Level: Senior Level Reporting To: Operations / Management Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Vendor Manager who will independently manage the complete vendor lifecycle, including vendor identification, onboarding, commercial negotiations, procurement coordination, performance monitoring, compliance and production follow-up. The role will also be responsible for coordinating end-to-end production with external vendors, ensuring products are manufactured and supplied as per required quality, quantity, cost and delivery timelines. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate and onboard new vendors, manufacturers and suppliers.Independently manage the complete vendor lifecycle from sourcing to ongoing performance management.Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment terms, MOQs and delivery schedules.Manage procurement of raw materials, packing materials, finished products and other business requirements.Coordinate purchase requirements, purchase orders and delivery schedules with internal teams and vendors.Manage end-to-end production with vendors, from production planning and material availability to manufacturing, packing and final dispatch.Follow up with vendors to ensure production is completed according to agreed timelines.Coordinate with QC/QA teams to ensure materials and finished products meet required quality standards.Monitor vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness and compliance.Resolve vendor-related issues including production delays, shortages, quality rejections and supply disruptions.Develop alternate vendors to reduce supply dependency and business risk.Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising product quality.Maintain vendor documentation, quotations, agreements, pricing records and procurement-related MIS.Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality and Accounts teams for smooth vendor operations.Build and maintain long-term relationships with reliable vendors and manufacturing partners.Key Performance Indicators Vendor delivery adherenceProcurement cost savingsProduction timeline adherenceVendor quality rejection rateMaterial availabilityVendor complianceNumber of alternate vendors developedReduction in production and supply delaysPurchase price optimizationVendor issue resolution turnaround timeRequired Skills & Experience Strong experience in vendor management, procurement and production coordination.Proven ability to independently source, negotiate and manage vendors.Strong commercial negotiation and cost-analysis skills.Experience handling manufacturing or production vendors.Good understanding of procurement and supply-chain processes.Ability to manage multiple vendors and production timelines simultaneously.Strong follow-up, coordination and problem-solving skills.Good working knowledge of Excel/MIS and procurement documentation.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.Preferred Profile A senior professional with hands-on experience managing vendors, procurement and outsourced/third-party production, capable of independently taking ownership from vendor sourcing and negotiation through production completion and final delivery. Compensation: 30,000.00 - 40,000.00 per month Work Location: In person .
