Job Description P-Way Estimator Position: P-Way Estimator / Asst. Manager Department: Estimation / Commercial Industry: Railway / EPC / Infrastructure Location: Project Site / Head Office Experience: 810 years Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering preferred Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed P-Way (Permanent Way) estimates for railway track construction, maintenance, and related works.Study tender documents, BOQ, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.Prepare quantity take-offs for rails, sleepers, fittings, ballast, points & crossings, earthwork, formation, etc.Prepare rate analysis and cost estimates based on applicable SOR, market rates, labour, material, machinery, and transportation costs.Prepare BOQ, BBS/quantity statements, material requirement statements, and comparative statements.Assist in preparation of tender estimates and commercial proposals.Review quantities against drawings and identify discrepancies, omissions, and variations.Coordinate with the Design, Planning, Procurement, Execution, and Commercial teams for accurate estimation.Prepare estimates for additional works, deviation statements, variation orders, and extra items.Analyse subcontractor/vendor quotations and support commercial negotiations.Maintain proper records of estimates, rate analysis, supporting documents, and revisions.Visit project sites, wherever required, to verify actual site conditions and quantities.Support the Project Manager and Commercial team in cost monitoring and billing-related activities.Required Skills Strong knowledge of Railway P-Way works and track construction methodology.Good knowledge of railway specifications, RDSO standards, IRUSSOR/SOR and tender conditions.Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of estimation software will be an advantage.Good understanding of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, quantity surveying, and costing.Ability to read and interpret P-Way drawings and railway tender documents.Compensation: 75,000.00 - 80,000.00 per month Benefits: Food providedProvident FundWork Location: Hybrid remote in Kolkata, West Bengal .
