## Medical Coding Technician (BPT/MPT/Physiotherapy) ### Role Overview We are looking for motivated BPT/MPT or Physiotherapy graduates to join our medical coding team as Medical Coding Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers or early-career healthcare professionals to transition into the growing field of medical coding, leveraging their clinical knowledge to accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and treatments in compliance with industry standards. ### Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze clinical documentation, patient records, and medical reports to assign accurate medical codes - Apply ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards to physiotherapy and rehabilitation-related procedures - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer requirements, and regulatory standards - Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding queries and discrepancies - Maintain accuracy and quality in coded data entry within healthcare management systems - Stay updated on changes to coding guidelines, especially those related to musculoskeletal and rehabilitation specialties - Meet productivity and quality benchmarks as defined by the organization ### Requirements & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or Master's degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) - Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures - Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems is an advantage - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn healthcare IT systems - Freshers and candidates with up to one year of experience are encouraged to apply - Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is a plus but not mandatory ### About the Company Medical Coding Tech is a healthcare services organization specializing in medical coding, billing, and revenue cycle management solutions for healthcare providers.
