Biology Researcher (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training About The Role What if your years of biology research could directly shape how AI understands genetics, biotechnology, and the life sciences We're looking for expert biologists to tackle advanced scientific problems that train the next generation of AI models making them sharper, more rigorous, and genuinely useful to researchers and the world. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working scientists and academics. If you hold a Master's or PhD in biology or a related field and want to apply your expertise in a meaningful new direction, this is for you. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 1040 hours/week What You'll Do Develop, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance Apply deep expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related disciplines to design complex, rigorous problem sets Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI reasoning in the life sciences Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and depth across all deliverables Work independently on task-based assignments fully on your own schedule Who You Are Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, etc.) Solid expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis Exceptional written communication skills with sharp attention to scientific detail Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without direct supervision Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows Background in academic publishing, peer review, or research mentorship Familiarity with computational biology tools or bioinformatics pipelines Ex .
