Playwright Automation Tester

Job Summary Algo-App is looking for an experienced Playwright Automation Tester with 36 years of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation, web application testing, test script development, and defect management. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright. Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of web applications. Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test utilities. Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare appropriate test scenarios and test cases. Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve defects. Execute automated test suites and analyze test results. Participate in test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting. Maintain test scripts and update automation suites based on application changes. Perform cross-browser testing and validate application behavior across supported browsers. Contribute to improving test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide regular testing status updates. Required Skills 36 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright. Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or another programming language used with Playwright. Strong understanding of Web Automation Testing and end-to-end testing. Good knowledge of Selenium/WebDriver concepts is an added advantage. Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks. Good understanding of API testing concepts. Experience with Git/version control. Good understanding of SQL/database testing. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation pipeline integration. Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, test planning, test execution, and defect life cycle. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Playwright Test. Experience with TypeScript. Knowledge of API automation tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools. Experience working with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Knowledge of Page Object Model and reusable automation frameworks.
