This post is for a well funded early stage company building AI for heavy industry. The product reads live sensor data from critical machines and tells plant teams what is going to fail and why. The role You will own the Platform layer - both sides of it. On the backend, the data models, APIs and services that represent industrial assets and equipment: the foundation every other team builds on. On the frontend, the console our customers use every day: asset hierarchies, health views, trend charts, alert tables. Interfaces that make dense reliability data clear and fast. This is a founding-engineer scope role reporting to the CTO. High ownership, code review, mentorship, and direct contact with customer engineers. The stack (Important) The platform runs Angular on the frontend and Java on the backend today. We are moving to React and Python. You will work across all four: shipping on the current stack from day one while building the new one. If you have driven a migration like this before, we want to hear about it. Node.js experience helps. What we need 3+ years building and shipping production web applications end to end Production experience with React and with Angular (2+). Depth in at least one. Production experience with Java and with Python. Depth in at least one. Strong API design, data modelling and database fundamentals. A degree in computer science or a related technical field. Good to have Platform or core-domain systems that other teams build on top of. Data-dense interfaces: dashboards, monitoring or analytics tooling. Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability. Industrial, IoT or time-series/sensor data. Location and logistics Remote for now. A Bengaluru office opens in the next 6-10 months and you should be ready to work from it - Bengaluru-based candidates preferred. Short notice periods strongly preferred. Compensation: 40-60 LPA. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
