We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco networking and familiarity with SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) to design, deploy, automate, and operate high-performance data center networks supporting AI and GPU infrastructure. NVIDIA networking experience is a plus. Role Overview The Network Engineer will be responsible for architecting and managing modern data center networking environments built on Cisco, NVIDIA and SONiC-based switches. The ideal candidate has experience with leaf-spine architectures, EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, BGP, automation, and high-performance Ethernet networks used for AI clusters and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities Deploy, configure, and operate SONiC-based switches and network fabrics. Design and maintain scalable leaf-spine architectures for AI and GPU clusters. Configure and troubleshoot: BGP EVPN/VXLAN ECMP VLANs and LAGs MLAG/MC-LAG QoS and traffic engineering Perform network provisioning, upgrades, and maintenance of SONiC environments. Monitor and optimize network performance for east-west traffic and high-throughput AI workloads. Support RoCEv2 networking and lossless Ethernet configurations for GPU clusters. Automate network operations using Ansible, Python, and APIs. Troubleshoot routing, switching, and latency issues across data center environments. Collaborate with Linux, Kubernetes, and infrastructure teams to support AI platforms. Develop operational procedures and maintain network documentation. Participate in customer deployments and provide remote support when needed. Required Qualifications 2-3+ years of experience in data center networking. Hands-on experience with Cisco, NVIDIA or SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) . Hands-on experience with Fortinet or other firewall products Strong understanding of: Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking BGP and EVPN VXLAN overlays ECMP Spine-leaf architectures High availability and redundancy Experience with white-box switches from vendors such as Edgecore, Celestica, Dell, or Supermicro. Solid understanding of Ethernet switching and routing protocols. Experience with Linux networking fundamentals. Familiarity with packet analysis tools and troubleshooting methodologies. Strong scripting or automation skills using Python, Bash, or Ansible. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
