Role description Role : Mainframe Automation Testing Location : Hyderabad Experience: 6-10 Yrs Notice period: 0-10 days Job Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2 and JCL Work closely with vendor product owners and technical leads to understand requirements and implement technical solutions Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing knowledge and practices in mainframe development Implement code using Test Driven Development (TDD) method. Unit test cases should be based on acceptance criteria. Perform negative file compares to ensure the quality and performance of developed solutions Perform code reviews and review unit test results with vendor Tech lead and complete code review forms Implement solutions for defect fixes and new enhancements with overall design of the application Complete release turnover documentation for UAT and Production Complete change control document for production turnover Merge/ layer code with other developers when making changes in shared program Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe development, with expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2 and JCL. Strong understanding of cost basis applications and experience in cost analysis and optimization. Proven experience in developing and implementing solutions in an agile environment, following practices and standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders Skills Mainframe testing, Automation testing, Cobol, JCL, About UST UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider.
