Key Responsibilities - Define and own the end-to-end automation strategy for an Android-based Instrument Cluster (AOSP/Android Automotive). - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, Android system services, boot flows, OTA validation, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. - Automate system validation for boot performance, crashes, ANRs, memory usage, CPU/GPU performance, thermal behavior, and application launch times. - Validate power consumption, UI responsiveness, frame rates, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and network recovery scenarios. - Develop automated validation for CAN signals, ECU interactions, vehicle state transitions, and safety-critical display behavior. - Automate OTA testing, including A/B updates, rollback, recovery, and post-update stability. - Convert field issues into regression automation suites and support root cause analysis using logs and system traces. - Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and deliver actionable test reports with regression tracking. Required Skills Mandatory - 712+ years of experience in Test Automation for Android or Embedded Systems. - Strong experience with Android AOSP or Android Automotive at the system level. - Excellent Python programming skills for automation framework development and CI integration. - Hands-on expertise with: - UI Automator (mandatory) - Espresso - Monkey / MonkeyRunner - Experience with Android debugging and performance tools such as Logcat, Perfetto, Systrace, Dumpsys, and Simpleperf. - Strong understanding of CAN, ECUs, vehicle signals, diagnostics, and embedded system validation. - Experience integrating automation into Jenkins or GitLab CI pipelines. - Working knowledge of Java/Kotlin for Android integration. Preferred - Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. - Knowledge of Android CTS, VTS, GTS, and Android Test Station (ATS). - Experience with OTA validation, A/B update mechanisms, and recovery testing. - Working knowledge of Yocto is a robust advantage.
