Job Description QA Lead (Functional + Automation) Job Title: QA Lead (Functional + Automation) Location: Mumbai (Work from Office/Hybrid As per Client Requirement) Experience: 812 Years Domain: Investment Banking / Banking & Financial Services ## About the Role We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with a strong background in both Functional and Automation Testing and hands-on experience in the Investment Banking/Banking domain. The ideal candidate should be capable of leading end-to-end QA delivery, driving quality initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely project execution. ## Key Responsibilities * Lead the end-to-end QA lifecycle across multiple projects. * Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance processes. * Manage both Functional and Automation Testing activities. * Build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and regression suites. * Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables. * Lead and mentor QA team members, allocate tasks, and monitor progress. * Participate in requirement analysis and provide quality-focused recommendations. * Track defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution. * Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies. * Ensure projects are delivered within timelines while maintaining high-quality standards. * Prepare and present QA metrics, status reports, and release readiness updates to stakeholders. ## Required Skills * 8+ years of experience in Software Testing with at least 2+ years in a QA Lead role. * Strong expertise in Functional Testing and Automation Testing. * Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar. * Good understanding of API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools. * Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. * Knowledge of defect management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar. * Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices. * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills. ## Domain Expertise * Mandatory experience in the Investment Banking / Banking & Financial Services domain. * Good understanding of banking workflows, financial products, trading, payments, or capital markets is preferred. ## Leadership Expectations * Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. * Self-driven, proactive, and capable of taking ownership. * Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to drive QA initiatives independently with minimal supervision. * Excellent coordination across cross-functional teams and leadership in delivery execution. ## Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is an added advantage. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration is preferred.
