We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing manufacturing/operational costs, evaluating inventory, and maintaining cost accounting systems. Your insights will directly influence pricing strategies, budget controls, and profitability across our operations. Key ResponsibilitiesCost & Margin Analysis Analyze manufacturing, labor, overhead, and raw material costs to determine standard cost standards and variances.Perform variance analysis between standard costs and actual costs; report findings and recommended corrective actions to management.Conduct margin and profitability analysis by product line, department, or project.Inventory & Asset Management Oversee inventory valuations, reconciliations, and cycle count auditing.Monitor lower-of-cost-or-net-realizable-value (LCNRV) adjustments and identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory.Partner with supply chain and operations teams to verify physical inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets, cost forecasts, and financial models.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports for management.Ensure accurate allocation of overhead costs in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.Process Improvement & Systems Evaluate existing internal controls and cost accounting procedures to identify areas for efficiency and cost reduction.Support ERP system implementations, upgrades, or module optimizations related to cost tracking and inventory management.Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: [25+] years of accounting experience, specifically focused on cost accounting or inventory accounting within [manufacturing / distribution / construction / relevant industry].Certifications: Certified Management Accountant (CMA), CPA or ICWATechnical Skills:Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, index/match, pivot tables, financial modeling).Core Competencies:Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Excellent communication skills to bridge financial data with non-financial department heads.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Preferred Qualifications Experience in standard costing and activity-based costing (ABC) methodologies.Background working in a high-volume manufacturing or multi-site distribution environment.Compensation: 25,000.00 - 30,000.00 per month Benefits: Paid sick timePaid time offProvident FundWork Location: In person .
