You should be comfortable working independently as well as with a team in the design and development of scalable web applications. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our backend systems and APIs What Success Looks Like In This Role - Develop and optimize backend systems and APIs using Node.js, Express and MongoDB - Integrate applications with other systems and services through APIs and web services - Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for security - Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions - Troubleshoot and debug backend issues and implement fixes and workarounds - Write unit tests for backend logic and APIs - Work with team members to understand frontend needs and develop appropriate APIs - Monitor and improve backend performance, security, and reliability - Keep up to date with the latest technologies and best practices You will be successful in this role if you have: - 4+ years' experience with Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB - Experience integrating RESTful APIs with frontend frameworks like React - Strong grasp of database systems, both relational and NoSQL - Experience with common authentication mechanisms like JSON Web Tokens - Knowledge of version control systems like Git and GitHub - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha or Jasmine - Excellent troubleshooting and system optimization skills - Ability to have an end-to-end view of systems and services Compensation & Benefits For the right candidate, e-Cosmos is ready to provide an extremely competitive salary and added incentive bonus potential.
