Technical Consultant - DLP Engineer Location: IN - Bangalore 24/7 | Job-ID: 218603 | Contract type: Standard | Business Unit: Cyber Security Life on the Team Experienced technical resource to support the configuration and operation of Computacenter Data Loss Prevention systems and capabilities ensuring the confidentiality Integrity and availability of Computacenter data across all critical systems and services. What Youll Do As a Data Loss Prevention Engineer, working inside Security platform tooling you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the DLP capabilities, managing and updating policies and dealing with policy decisions and managing exceptions are required. You will: Provide security guidance for solutions protecting Computacenter Data such as DLP across all critical systems and services that process store or contain Computacenter data. Ensure secure configuration standards for data loss protection and data exfiltration prevention are adhered to. Manage and review the operation of Data security tooling solutions and Data Security capabilities within Computacenter solutions and services. Look at the operation of data security controls in the broader context of all operational security controls. Review data loss alerts and events in conjunction with the Data Security Led to ensure policies are optimised and emerging risks to data are addressed in a timely fashion. Produce meaningful metrics to support Key Performance Indicators. Identify gaps in protection of data across Computacenter platforms and services. What Youll Need Essential Bachelors degree in computer science, cybersecurity, Information technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Cyber Operations environment, with demonstrable experience in data loss prevention and governance. Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate), or other security-focused certifications are desirable. Skills and Competencies Deep technical understanding of security principles and best practices. Proven experience in managing and operating Data Loss Prevention solutions. Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Security and governance technologies especially relating to data security (Microsoft Purview). Understanding of data security configuration across multiple platforms (e.g. Azure, O365) Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and cloud architectures. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective security recommendations and solutions. Ability to build and operate processes with focus on continuous service improvement. Leadership Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with diverse teams. Additional Key Capabilities Deep technical expertise in securing data across Endpoint, Cloud, and Network environments. Ability to take security requirements and deliver policies and configuration within tools. Provide support and guidance on secure configuration implementation. Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical teams. Proactive identification and mitigation of security risks. Thorough understanding and application of security policies and standards. Continuous learning and adaptation to evolving security landscapes.
