Job Title: Sr. Test Engineer Performance Testing (Data Engineering) Location: Bangalore / Pune Experience: 6 8 Years Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer Performance Testing with a solid background in Data Engineering Testing . The ideal candidate will be responsible for System Integration Testing (SIT) and Performance Testing of data pipelines, ETL processes, databases, and cloud-based data platforms. The candidate should have expertise in validating data quality, scalability, reliability, and performance across enterprise data solutions. Key Responsibilities - Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) for data engineering applications and end-to-end data workflows. - Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests. - Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and data migration processes. - Analyze performance bottlenecks in databases, APIs, and data pipelines, and provide optimization recommendations. - Develop automated test scripts for performance testing using industry-standard tools. - Monitor system performance and generate detailed performance analysis reports. - Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple environments. - Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to resolve defects. - Participate in test planning, test case design, defect tracking, and test execution. - Support release validation and production readiness activities. Mandatory Skills - 6 8 years of experience in Data Engineering Testing, SIT, and Performance Testing. - Strong knowledge of Performance Testing concepts including Load, Stress, Spike, and Endurance Testing. - Experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad. - Strong SQL skills for data validation and database testing. - Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines. - Knowledge of Python for test automation or scripting. - Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or AWS. - Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and large-scale data validation. - Experience using defect management tools like JIRA. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins). Preferred Skills - Experience with PySpark or Spark-based data processing. - Exposure to Apache Kafka, Airflow, or similar data orchestration tools. - Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST Assured. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Basic understanding of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk. Roles & Responsibilities - Execute SIT and Performance Testing for enterprise data engineering solutions. - Prepare test strategy, test plans, test cases, and performance test scenarios. - Perform root cause analysis for performance issues and collaborate with development teams for resolution. - Ensure data integrity and application stability before production deployment. - Prepare test execution reports, performance metrics, and defect summaries. - Drive continuous improvements in testing processes, automation, and quality assurance. Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Nice to Have - Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP data services. - Knowledge of container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes). - Relevant certifications in Performance Testing, Cloud, or Data Engineering are an added advantage. .
