This position can sit remotely and/or should be based near a local office in Austin, Tx or Palo Atlo, CA. This would be a full-time contract engagment Were seeking an engineer who thrives at the intersection of embedded systems, distributed services, and modern Linux development. This role focuses on building the software layer that collects data from the device and sends it to the cloud, powering nextgeneration IVI platforms. This role in short will: Design and implement embedded software using modern C++ /RUST for Linux platforms. Core Responsibilities Embedded Application Development using C++/RUST services running on Embedded Linux Develop platformlevel and systemlevel services for IVI, defining interfaces and enabling communication between hardware, applications, and cloud services. Interpret HLDs and schema definitions to determine what data must be collected and how it flows through the system. Work with hardware teams on board bringup, schematic review, and integrating software with custom hardware. Yocto (Embedded Linux systems) Work with distributed components across the IVI platform. Troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, GDB, and JTAG to diagnose systemlevel issues. We are looking at hourly rates determined by years of experience, education, and tool relevancy between the range of $80-$100/hr (W2). Apply To this Job .
