This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with IBM, requiring hands-on expertise in Playwright, Java, CI/CD (GitLab), and REST API testing. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and Java. Design and execute comprehensive test cases based on BDD frameworks. Perform REST API testing using Rest Assured. Integrate automation test cases into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. Collaborate with development and QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure high product quality. Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve issues in automated test scripts. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and provide updates on test progress. Mandatory Skills: Java: Strong proficiency in core Java for developing automation scripts. Playwright: Hands-on experience with Playwright for browser-based testing. CI/CD: Deep understanding and practical knowledge of CI/CD practices, preferably using GitLab. REST API Testing: Proficient in testing APIs and automation using Rest Assured. BDD Frameworks: Experience in writing and maintaining test cases using Behavior Driven Development approach. Preferred Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. .
