We are looking for a Senior Sub System Test Engineer ATS Youll make a difference by: : Responsibility for the test execution and test management of mass transit rollouts of ATS for CBTC/ Non-CBTC signaling Systems as part of large-scale railway infrastructure projects. Ensuring economic success and (internal) customer satisfaction for ATS domain in CBTC/ Non-CBTC application projects. Carrying the responsibility for the data lab testing scope. Representation of the test team within the project towards internal team, whilst reporting to the line management (test manager/group lead). Ensuring compliance with defined procedures/processes. Identification and exploitation of additional business opportunities during project implementation, e.g. identifying Change Requests or extending the scope towards project needs. Your assignment involve: Responsible for data lab testing of ATS Sub-systems in Test lab using real and simulated test environments. Evaluation of project, customer, internal requirements towards executing suitable project specific test cases and test documentation. Detailed knowhow on functional aspects of ATS and its interface with other subsystems like ATC and IxL with CBTC/non-CBTC projects. Knowledge about testing and commissioning process and Strategy. Work with development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management Knowledge of test automation for HMI/UI testing Setting up of test environments, writing test scripts and executing test cases/scenarios. Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people. Analyzing of test logs and results towards identification of failures. Interfacing/Clarification with senior test engineer, test manager and project teams. Able to support installation and tests activities/teams onsite if required. Understanding of other subsystem like Interlocking, ATC, Communication and Diagnostic Systems. Knowledge of Projects Support functions (RM/DM/CM) and Quality Management. Youll win us over by: Degree in electrical or electronics engineering. Professional experience of minimum 3 years in railway transportation systems (Mass Transit/ Mainline) with the focus on testing in ATS subsystem for CBTC/ non-CBTC domain Performed hands on testing activities for wayside and onboard ATS in CBTC/non-CBTC subsystem besides understanding of operational scenarios, requirements, and interfaces. Detailed knowledge of ATS in CBTC/non-CBTC systems. Experience with Functional testing, lab testing, test setups. Experience with Static test, Dynamic test, Integration tests and SAT would be an added advantage. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
