Job Title: Solution Architect Company: IT Services and consulting Location: Connaught Place, New Delhi Work Mode: Work From Office 5 Days a Week Initial WFO Requirement: First 4 to 6 Months Experience: 10+ Years Function: Professional & Managed Services About the Role We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect Data Center Infrastructure with strong hands-on experience in on-premise data centers, particularly in Government, National Security, Critical Infrastructure, or large enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should have broad knowledge of complete data center infrastructure along with deep technical expertise in Server Virtualization, especially VMware, and strong understanding of Windows and Linux environments. This is a hands-on infrastructure architecture role and is not primarily focused on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Key Responsibilities Design and architect end-to-end on-premise data center solutions based on customer requirements and RFPs. Develop technical solutions covering: Compute Server Virtualization Storage Backup Network Firewalls Windows Linux Analyze RFPs and convert requirements into practical and implementable technical solutions. Develop technical architecture, solution designs, and technical proposals. Work closely with OEMs and system integrators for solution design, configurations, and technical requirements. Support technical bidding and pre-sales activities. Ensure integration and compatibility between different infrastructure components. Support implementation and integration activities from Day 0 and Day 1. Understand infrastructure requirements for Day 2 Managed Services and operations. Participate in customer and technical discussions when required. Provide technical guidance to implementation and managed services teams. Mandatory Technical Skills Server Virtualization Must Have Strong hands-on experience with: VMware Windows Server Linux Data Center Infrastructure Strong understanding of: Compute / Servers Storage Backup Network Firewalls Virtualization Data center integration Mandatory Experience The candidate must have significant experience with on-premise data centers. Experience in any of the following environments is highly preferred: Government Data Centers National Security Infrastructure Critical Infrastructure Government Technology Projects Large Enterprise Data Centers Important Public Cloud Is Not the Focus This position is not primarily for public cloud architects. Candidates whose experience is mainly in: AWS Azure GCP without strong on-premise data center experience will not be suitable. Additional Requirement Experience in OEM coordination is required, particularly for: Technical solutioning RFPs Bidding Product/configuration discussions Project delivery What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who has: Strong architectural breadth across the complete data center infrastructure. Deep technical depth in VMware/server virtualization. Hands-on understanding of infrastructure technologies. Experience converting RFP requirements into end-to-end solutions. Strong problem-solving ability. Experience working with OEMs and system integrators. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A passion for technical excellence and continuous learning. Work Location & Working Hours Location: Connaught Place, New Delhi Work From Office: 5 days a week The candidate must be comfortable working from office for the initial 46 months to work closely with the technical leadership and team. Notice Period Preferred: 30 to 60 Days Immediate Joiners are also welcome. Candidates who are currently available due to layoffs may also be considered, subject to verification.
