The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of the client/company databases and guaranteeing the data is stored securely and efficiently. The Sr. DBA will also provide strategic guidance and implementation of the data warehouse as well as the relationship with users who provide input and support this environment. The role ensures the day-to-day operations of the environment architecture and operation for the databases, managing technical administration including installation, configuration, monitoring, capacity planning, operational services and integration of enhancements and development efforts that pertain to the environment. In this role you will get to Install, design and maintain and implement database system software Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, Hanna DB(Hybris), IBM DB2. Install and configure Oracle Analytics Server on Linux Install and configure development and administration tools SQL Developer, Oracle Apex, Oracle Analytics Client, IBM Data Studio, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Zabbix monitoring scripts. Create and execute complex SQL statements Perform ongoing site and store administration and maintenance tasks Participate in the development and maintenance of strategic, architectural and tactical plans for the database and data warehouse environment Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required Use transaction recovery techniques and backup data Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tracing Analysing Logs and helping team in reviewing error Your skills and qualifications 5+ years experience installing and configuring Oracle, MySQL. Deep understanding of Linux/Unix Experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure management and configuration Unix Shell scripting experience is a must (Bash, ksh, or Perl) Hands on experience of installation and configuration of Hanna DB for use with Hybris Hands on experience of installation and configuration IBM DB2 for use with WebSphere Commerce Experience or knowledge of creating and executing complex SQL statements Tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL Install, patch and maintain all Oracle software Control all migrations of Oracle schema objects Design and implement a backup & recovery system Implement Oracle failover technology Data modelling and Oracle database design Managing data security Strong troubleshooting skills Knowledge of Unix operating system basics (disk, CPU, I/O subsystem) Understanding on network technologies Familiarity with Source Control tools like Github, Git, and SVN Bachelor's degree in IT or related field Strong verbal and written communication (in Ukrainian, Russian and English) Strong organisational and task management skills Positive attitude and passionate Customer-focused Self-starter, very organised To be able to work some overtime and provide after-hours support as needed Ability to make decisions quickly Ability to work independently as well as in small groups, including customer technical and business employees .
