The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills and be capable of supporting server infrastructure, network devices, and DevOps tools while ensuring high system availability. Key Responsibilities Provide L2 technical support for Linux and Windows servers. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments. Monitor server health, system performance, and resource utilization. Troubleshoot application, OS, and infrastructure-related issues. Manage user accounts, permissions, and system services. Support GitLab administration, repository management, user access, branching, and merge requests. Assist development teams with Git workflows and CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting. Configure and troubleshoot networking issues including routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and load balancing. Support firewall administration, including policy creation, NAT, ACLs, and security rule implementation. Diagnose connectivity issues using tools such as ping, traceroute, tcpdump, netstat, and Wireshark. Coordinate with application, database, network, and security teams for incident resolution. Perform system patching, upgrades, and preventive maintenance. Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and incident reports. Participate in on-call support and production issue handling when required. Required Skills Operating Systems Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) Windows Server Administration Version Control Git GitLab Administration Repository Management Branching & Merging GitLab CI/CD (basic knowledge) Networking TCP/IP Routing & Switching VLANs DNS DHCP NAT VPN Load Balancing Firewall Administration Troubleshooting Tools SSH PuTTY WinSCP tcpdump netstat traceroute ping Wireshark Scripting (Preferred) Bash Shell Scripting PowerShell (basic) Monitoring (Preferred) Zabbix Grafana Prometheus Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or OpenStack is an advantage. Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is desirable. Experience with HAProxy, Nginx, Apache, or Keepalived is a plus. Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Good documentation skills. Ability to handle multiple incidents in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new technologies. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
