Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to monitoring, performance, and configuration, including agent-based and SNMP monitoring. Integration: Integrating SolarWinds with other IT systems like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and other third-party tools via SNMP and REST API. Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance, applying upgrades and hotfixes, and managing licenses. Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. Required skills and knowledge SolarWinds expertise: In-depth knowledge of SolarWinds modules and their administration. Network protocols: Strong understanding of protocols like SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and NetPath. Operating systems: Basic to advanced knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, and AIX OS. Networking: Understanding of network devices like switches and WAN devices. Scripting and APIs: Experience with APIs, especially REST API, for integration. ITSM and ITIL: Knowledge of ITSM principles and integration with tools like ServiceNow. Problem-solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. .
