About US : Swastha is specialised maritime mental wellbeing company providing comprehensive support for seafarers and maritime professionals. Through 24/7 counselling services, training programs, and digital tools, Swastha helps prevent and manage mental distress at sea while promoting psychological wellbeing for crew and shore-based staff across the global maritime industry. Objectives: The Mental Health Specialist will support the delivery of mental health and wellbeing initiatives by providing counselling, crisis support, and workplace wellness training for partner organisations. The role involves developing training content, facilitating wellbeing programs, and contributing to mental health frameworks and best practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to engage diverse audiences to promote psychological wellbeing across workplace environments. Responsibilities Provide individual, and/or group therapy (online and in-person) for distress and crisis concerns.Respond appropriately to crisis situations and high-risk cases.Contribute to development of SOPs, referral pathways, and quality standards.Design and facilitate wellbeing workshops for maritime partner organisationsContribute to curriculum development for mental health training modules.Represent the organisation in partner organisations, in professional forums and mental health networks.Travel to domestic and international locations as required to support Swasthas workplace wellness initiatives. Qualifiactions Masters in Applied Psychology with clinical or counselling specialisation.6-10 years of experience working in mental health practiceStrong knowledge of mental health trainings, curriculum building, workplace wellness, psychological first aid & suicide preventionExcellent English writing and public speaking skillsExcellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage with employees from diverse socio-cultural backgroundsMaintain high standards of ethical, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice. .
