Role Description The Sitting Phlebotomist will perform on-site blood collection and sample processing at Orange Health Labs facility in Gurugram in a full-time capacity. This role involves welcoming customers, confirming test orders, verifying identity, and preparing collection materials in accordance with safety and infection-control protocols. The Sitting Phlebotomist will draw blood and collect other specimens, label and document samples accurately, and ensure proper storage and handover for timely testing. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workstation, monitoring inventory of phlebotomy supplies, and adhering to quality, safety, and compliance standards. The role also requires clear communication with customers to explain procedures, address questions, and provide a calm, professional experience throughout the collection process. Qualifications Formal training or certification in phlebotomy or laboratory technology, with hands-on experience in blood collection and specimen handling.Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques, infection control, biosafety, and standard operating procedures in a clinical or diagnostic setting.Ability to maintain accurate records, label samples correctly, and follow documentation processes for high-volume diagnostic workflows.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully with customers of diverse backgrounds and provide a reassuring experience.Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow protocols and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-accuracy environment.Comfort working on-site in Gurugram on a full-time schedule, with flexibility for shifts as required by operational needs.Prior experience in diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, or collection centers is preferred; familiarity with digital reporting systems is an advantage.Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory patient care and adherence to all regulatory and organizational standards. .
