This position is available in the DAIV System Team, a centralized DevOps team supporting multiple software product development teams across the EMEA region. The teams develop desktop and web applications for data management, image processing, and visualization workflows. As Senior DevOps Engineer AI Enablement, you will play a key role in accelerating software development and DevOps activities through the adoption of novel generative AI tools, automation, and improved ways of working. You will combine strong hands-on DevOps expertise with a passion for AI-enabled productivity improvements. The DAIV System Team supports approximately five software development teams and consists of around fifteen colleagues based in Bangalore. In this role, you will act as the central point of reference for generative AI enablement within the DevOps domain, helping teams explore, adopt, and scale new tools and practices. DESCRIPTIONHow you will make an impact: You will help software teams increase their efficiency in building new products and supporting our customers by improving CI/CD infrastructure, optimizing the software development lifecycle, and introducing AI-enabled ways of working. By identifying waste, automating repetitive activities, and enabling teams to make effective use of generative AI, you will contribute directly to faster delivery, improved developer experience, and higher-quality software engineering practices across multiple teams. You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps engineers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to explore opportunities, implement improvements, and guide adoption of new concepts and tooling. In this role you will: Contribute to daily DevOps activities including CI/CD infrastructure, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, pipeline optimization, and build infrastructure support for software development teamsIdentify, implement, and lead automation initiatives that reduce waste, eliminate manual effort, and accelerate software development through process improvements and AI-enabled toolingExplore, evaluate, implement, and maintain novel generative AI tools and techniques that improve DevOps and software engineering workflows, staying current with emerging trends in AI, DevOps, and developer productivityAct as the subject matter expert for generative AI within the central DevOps team, introducing and training teams on AI-enabled development concepts, tools, and ways of workingCollaborate with software engineering teams to embed effective use of generative AI into daily development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and automation practicesPromote responsible, secure, and scalable use of AI tools in software development and DevOps workflowsREQUIREMENTSThe ideal candidate is a senior DevOps engineer with strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to influence change across multiple teams. You enjoy working in a collaborative, international software engineering environment and are motivated by helping teams become more effective. You are proactive, pragmatic, and comfortable acting as a trusted advisor. You can translate new technical concepts into practical improvements, guide teams through change, and create momentum around new ways of working. Besides that, you have: A Bachelors or Masters degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience6-10 years of hands-on DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines, build infrastructure, automation, source control, and software delivery practicesStrong experience with modern DevOps technologies such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, scripting, infrastructure as code, or similar toolsDemonstrated experience with generative AI tooling in software development workflows, preferably including OpenAI Codex or comparable AI coding agents, skills, plugins, automations, and tool integrationsA strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and the ability to identify opportunities to improve engineering efficiency, quality, and delivery speedExperience introducing new tools, practices, or ways of working across multiple teams, including creating guidance, training material, or enablement sessionsExcellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, combined with strong influencing skills and an understanding of change managementA proactive attitude, agile mindset, quality-oriented approach, and ability to work effectively in a distributed, multicultural environment .
