Role Description The Cloud & Integration Engineer Azure & AWS is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and integrations across High Volt Analytics products and client environments. The role will take ownership of building, managing, and optimizing primarily Microsoft Azure infrastructure, with experience or working knowledge of AWS. A key part of the role is integrating our products with various client and third-party software platforms through secure, scalable, and reliable integration architecture. The engineer will work closely with software developers, data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions supporting our Hybrid AI solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, manage, and optimize Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure. Develop robust integrations between our products and client software, ERP, CRM, accounting, banking, payment, and other third-party SaaS platforms. Build and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, authentication flows, and integration workflows. Work with Azure services including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, App Services, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights. Work with relevant AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and API Gateway. Configure secure connectivity between cloud, client, third-party, and where required, on-premises systems. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment and configuration processes. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar technologies. Monitor system health, performance, security, availability, and cloud costs. Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, API, connectivity, and integration issues across development and production environments. Establish robust engineering practices around security, logging, monitoring, error handling, scalability, backup, resilience, and disaster recovery. Support production deployments and incident resolution. Document technical architecture, integrations, deployment processes, and operational procedures. Continuously improve integration patterns, cloud architecture, reliability, and engineering best practices. Qualifications 34 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, systems engineering, or software integration. Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and integration services. Experience or good working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services. Strong analytical skills to interpret system behaviour, evaluate performance metrics, and develop data-driven solutions. Strong troubleshooting abilities to diagnose integration failures, infrastructure issues, connectivity problems, and production incidents. Software development experience using languages or scripting technologies such as C#, Python, PowerShell, or similar. Strong understanding of API development, RESTful services, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, and authentication mechanisms. Hands-on integration experience using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Service Bus. Experience integrating cloud applications with third-party SaaS platforms and client systems. Strong systems engineering knowledge with a focus on reliability, scalability, security, performance, and cost optimisation. Experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Good knowledge of networking concepts, identity and access management (IAM/RBAC), cloud security, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity.
