About the Role We are looking for an experienced and transformation-focused Supply Chain Manager Warehouse & Logistics to lead and optimize our warehousing, inventory management, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP, WMS, warehouse process transformation, automation, inventory control, and logistics management. The person should be capable of taking an existing warehouse operation and driving it towards a technology-enabled, automated, scalable, and efficient warehouse model. The role requires a strong combination of operational expertise, analytical thinking, technology orientation, and people leadership. Key Responsibilities 1. Warehouse Management & Operations Lead end-to-end warehouse operations including inwarding, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns. Ensure optimal utilization of warehouse space, manpower, equipment, and storage locations. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices across warehouse operations. Drive improvements in warehouse productivity, turnaround time, space utilization, and operational efficiency. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, 5S, and compliance standards 2. Warehouse Automation & Transformation Lead the transformation of conventional warehouse operations into technology-driven and automated systems. Identify opportunities for automation across material movement, storage, picking, sorting, packing, and dispatch. Evaluate and implement solutions such as ASRS, conveyors, barcode/RFID systems, automated picking systems, scanners, automated material handling equipment, and warehouse robotics, wherever applicable. Work with technology and automation partners for warehouse design, implementation, integration, and optimization. Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analysis for automation projects. Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of warehouse proceses. SAP / WMS Management Ensure effective utilization of SAP and WMS for warehouse and inventory management. Drive system-based inventory movement and ensure minimum manual intervention. Ensure accuracy of GRN, stock transfers, picking, dispatch, inventory adjustments, and cycle counts in the systems. Identify gaps between physical and system inventory and implement corrective actions. Work closely with IT and external technology partners for SAP/WMS enhancements, integrations, automation, and process improvements. Generate and analyze system reports to monitor warehouse performance. 4. Inventory Management Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and stock integrity. Establish and monitor cycle-counting and periodic stock-audit mechanisms. Minimize inventory discrepancies, damages, pilferage, obsolete stock, and slow-moving inventory. Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate storage and replenishment practices. Work closely with Procurement, Production, Sales, and Finance teams to optimize inventory. Logistics & Distribution Manage inbound and outbound logistics and ensure timely movement of materials and finished goods. Develop and optimize transportation and distribution processes. Manage transporters, logistics partners, and third-party service providers. Monitor freight costs, delivery timelines, vehicle utilization, and logistics efficiency Drive route optimization, load optimization, and transportation cost reduction. Track and improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance. 6. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve warehouse and logistics processes. Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor operational performance Identify opportunities for manpower optimization and productivity improvement. Drive cost-saving initiatives across warehousing, transportation, and material handling. Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse and logistics teams. Define team KPIs and monitor individual and departmental performance. Build a culture of accountability, safety, discipline, and continuous improvement. Plan manpower requirements based on business volumes and operational needs. Required Skills & Experience 815 years of experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse, Logistics, or Distribution operations. Strong hands-on experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of SAP and preferably WMS platforms. Experience in warehouse digitalization, automation, or transformation projects .
