Role & responsibilities - Ensuring high quality, compliance and efficiency of Business Accounting service delivery in line with SLA, handling of ad-hoc requests and developing/offering (customized) solutions to business partners and assigned legal entities. - Oversee cost centre accounting, overhead allocation, and standard cost setting; manage product costing cycles including variance analysis (price, quantity, efficiency) and WIP valuation. - Ensure timely period-end costing runs and inventory valuation reviews; resolve material cost variances with operations and supply chain stakeholders. - Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany settlements, and GL integrity in accordance with IFRS and applicable local GAAP. - Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls and audit readiness across all in-scope processes; enforce accounting policies and CoA governance; coordinate with auditors and tax advisors on entity queries. - Monitor key accounting metrics (close cycle time, reconciliation rates, error rates) and drive corrective actions where gaps arise. - Identifying business partners' requirements and maintaining regular exchange and valuable cooperation across finance and operations stakeholders. - Lead the team across resource planning, recruiting, activity allocation, and budget control; drive motivation and growth through target setting, performance evaluation, and continuous feedback. - Supporting development and optimization of service processes and fostering the use of digital technologies (automation, RPA, analytics) to enhance value creation. - Participating in global or regional Business Accounting as well as local Hub projects and initiatives in various roles. - Proactively contributing to and driving discussions in the Business Accounting Management team with regards to organizational development. - Acting as the key escalation point for business partners on accounting matters, audit queries, and internal control topics. Preferred candidate profile - Education indicates degree type in specialty: Bachelors in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar. CPA/CA/ACCA preferred. - Working Experience indicates years of experience in certain fields: 8+ years of experience in accounting, business administration or similar, with strong exposure to general ledger and closing activities. - Language skills indicate language and require level: C1 proficiency in Spanish and C2 proficiency in English. - Technical Skills indicate skill and required level: Advanced skills in finance and accounting processes, IFRS standards and local GAAP. Strong understanding of external audits, internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX) and tax fundamentals. - Soft Skills indicate skill and required level: Advanced skills in presentation, effective communication, organization & structure, stakeholder management, and pro-activeness. If applicable - Leadership Experience indicates years of leadership experience in certain fields: 3-5 years of leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams. - Project Experience indicates years of project experience in certain fields: 1-3 years of project experience, preferably in finance transformation, migrations, or process improvement. Tools & Technology skills indicate skill and required level: Advanced skills in SAP ERP (FI/CO modules) and R2R tools. Working knowledge of reporting/BI tools and automation platforms is a plus. .
