Job description: Summary The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting audits, and handling project-wise accounting for real estate development activities. The role requires adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control procedures. Key Responsibilities A. Accounting & Book-Keeping Maintain day-to-day books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance.Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records as per accounting standards.Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fund tracking.B. Real Estate Project Accounting Maintain project-wise accounting for all real estate development projects.Record and monitor land cost, construction cost, development expenses, and indirect costs.Track contractor bills, vendor invoices, material purchases, and labour payments.Prepare project-wise cost statements and profitability reports.C. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation Perform regular bank reconciliations and cash reconciliations.Reconcile debtor, creditor, and inter-company accounts.D. Customer & Revenue Accounting Maintain records of customer advances, instalments, collections, refunds, and cancellations.Ensure proper accounting of sales as per agreements and stage-wise completion.E. Statutory Compliance Assist in compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other applicable statutory requirements.Prepare data for returns, challans, and statutory filings.Maintain documentation required for RERA compliance.F. MIS & Reporting Prepare Monthly MIS, schedules, and supporting statements.Assist senior management and Chartered Accountant in financial analysis and reporting.G. Audit Support Provide required records, schedules, and explanations for statutory, tax, and internal audits.Ensure timely closure of audit observations related to accounting records.Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliances.Experience in real estate project accounting preferred.Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance orientation.Qualification B.Com / M.Com in Accounting or Finance.Knowledge of GST and TDS compliance is mandatory.Reporting To Chartered Accountant / Finance Manager / Head of AccountsJob Type: Full-time Compensation: 30,000.00 - 40,000.00 per month Work Location: In person .
