About the Role Our client is seeking a strategic Category Manager specializing in Indirect Spend to join their procurement team in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh . This role is responsible for developing and executing category strategies to optimize the acquisition of non-operational goods and services, driving significant cost savings and value. You will manage key supplier relationships, lead complex negotiations, and ensure alignment with business unit needs. This is a critical, office-based role for a seasoned procurement professional focused on strategic sourcing. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for indirect spend areas (e.g., IT, MRO, professional services). Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFI/RFP processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiation. Manage and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance and value delivery. Conduct thorough market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and ensure category strategies meet business objectives. Monitor category performance, track savings, and report on key metrics to senior management. Requirements MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, with a focus on indirect spend. Proven expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
