Job DescriptionAnya Segen | Noida \ NExperience: 01 Year \ NEmployment Type: Full-Time \ NAbout the Role \nAnya Segen is looking for a Social Media & Newsroom Associate who is deeply interested in news, current affairs, politics, governance, public affairs and digital media. \ NThis is not a conventional social media role focused only on scheduling posts or writing captions. The role combines the awareness and responsiveness of a newsroom with the creativity and execution of a digital communications team. \ NYou will closely follow what is happening across news, public conversations and digital platforms, identify developments that matter, and help translate them into timely, relevant and engaging communication. \ NIf checking the news is already part of your daily routine, you enjoy understanding the context behind major developments, and you are interested in how stories evolve across traditional and digital media, this role could be a strong fit. \ NKey Responsibilities \nNews & Current Affairs Monitoring \ N \n Track relevant news, current affairs, political and governance developments, public conversations and emerging stories.\ N Monitor digital platforms and credible news sources to identify important developments and conversations in real time.\ N Understand the context behind stories and identify developments that may have communication or content relevance.\ N Prepare concise updates, research notes and internal briefs for the team.\ N\nSocial Media & Content Development \ N \n Translate news, developments and public issues into clear and engaging social media communication.\ N Draft captions, social media copy, short-form scripts, content ideas, briefing notes and communication inputs.\ N Support the developmentof timely content around relevant events, announcements and conversations.\ N Adapt information for different digital formats while maintaining accuracy, context and clarity.\ N\nNewsroom Coordination \ N \n Work closely withdesigners, video editors and internal stakeholders to move content from idea to publication efficiently.\ N Support communication during fast-moving developments and time-sensitive situations.\ N Help maintain daily content priorities based on what is happening across the news and digital landscape.\ N Ensure information is verified and appropriately contextualised before it is used for communication.\ N\nResearch & DigitalIntelligence \ N \n Conduct quick andstructured research on topics, developments, individuals and public issues when required.\ N Follow conversations and emerging narratives across social media platforms.\ N Identify relevant trends, discussions and content opportunities.\ N Build a strong understanding of how news cycles and digital conversations influence public communication.\ N\nWhat We're LookingFor \ NWe are looking for someone who: \ N \n Has a genuine interest in news, politics, governance, current affairs and public issues.\ N Regularly follows credible news sources and digital conversations.\ N Has strong written and spoken English communication skills.\ N Can understand complex developments and communicate them in a simple, concise manner.\ N Demonstrates strong research skills and attention to detail.\ N Can work effectively ina fast-moving environment where priorities may evolve during the day.\ N Has good judgement regarding accuracy, context and relevance.\ N Is proactive, curious and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.\ N Understands social media beyond publishing and is interested in how digital platforms shape conversations and perception.\ N\nPreferred Background \ NCandidates from the following academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply: \ NJournalism | Mass Communication | Media Studies | Political Science | English | Public Policy | Communications \ NFresh graduates and candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience are welcome to apply. \ NPrior experience through internships, college publications, media organisations, digital platforms, social media teams, research projects or content teams would be valuable, but is not mandatory. \ NWho Would Enjoy This Role \ N \n This opportunity may be particularly suited to someone who:\ N Naturally keeps up withbreaking news and current affairs.\ N Enjoys discussing politics, governance, society and major public developments.\ N Likes understanding notonly what happened, but also why it matters.\ N Enjoys writing, researching and working with digital content.\ N Is comfortable with a role w .
