BODS Administrator

Job Title: BODS Administrator Experience: 4+ Years Location: Bangalore Company: Pradha Solutions Pvt Ltd Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced SAP BODS Administrator with 4+ years of hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and supporting SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) environments. The ideal candidate should have expertise in installation, configuration, performance tuning, upgrades, security management, and production support across development, QA, and production environments. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and administer SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) environments. Manage BODS repositories, Job Servers, Access Servers, and Management Console. Perform installation, patching, upgrades, and migrations across environments. Monitor system performance and optimize Job Servers for high availability and efficiency. Configure users, roles, security, and repository access. Troubleshoot job failures, server issues, repository problems, and performance bottlenecks. Schedule and monitor ETL jobs using BODS Management Console and enterprise schedulers. Perform backup and recovery of BODS repositories and configuration files. Coordinate deployments and migrations between Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments. Work closely with ETL developers, database administrators, SAP Basis teams, and infrastructure teams. Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and administration guides. Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and change management processes. Required Skills 4+ years of hands-on experience administering SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS). Strong experience with BODS installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management. Experience managing Job Servers, Access Servers, Repository Manager, and Central Management Console (CMC). Knowledge of BODS repositories (Local, Central, and Profiler repositories). Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Experience with repository backup, restore, and migration activities. Good understanding of ETL architecture and data integration concepts. Experience with Windows and Linux server administration. Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, or DB2. Experience with shell scripting or PowerShell for administrative automation. Familiarity with monitoring tools and enterprise job schedulers. Working knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects platform administration is an added advantage. Preferred Skills : Experience with SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP ECC, or SAP S/4HANA integrations. Knowledge of SAP Information Steward. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with ITIL processes, incident management, and change management. Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery configurations. Knowledge of CI/CD and deployment automation for ETL environments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. SAP BODS or SAP BusinessObjects certifications are preferred. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to support production environments and participate in on-call rotations when required. Nice to Have: Experience supporting large enterprise ETL environments. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and enterprise data integration. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments. .
